Fascias & Soffits

uPVC Fascia & Soffit Replacement

Fascias are the boards fixed across the ends of your rafters, and they carry the weight of the gutters. Soffits close the gap underneath, between the fascia and the wall. When either board rots, splits or comes away, water and birds get into the roof space and the gutter loses its support.

Solid uPVC boards will not rot or warp and never need repainting, only an occasional wipe down. White, black, grey and wood-effect finishes let you match your windows, and vented soffits let air in at the eaves to cut condensation in the loft.

This page covers the boards alone. If your gutters, bargeboards and verges also need attention, our roofline service brings the whole edge together in one job. We offer a FREE drone roof inspection to help assess the condition of your roof and identify potential issues.

When to Call Us

Signs You Need New Fascias & Soffits

  • Rotting Fascia Boards

Soft, cracked or swollen timber is taking in water and will soon stop holding the gutter brackets firmly.

  • Birds or Wasps Nesting

Gaps where soffits have dropped or broken give birds and insects an easy way into the roof space.

  • A Damp, Stuffy Loft

Wet timbers or mould in the loft can mean the eaves have no ventilation, which vented soffits help fix.

  • Frequent Repainting

If the boards need repainting every few years to look tidy, uPVC replacement ends that upkeep.

Pricing

Fascia & Soffit Costs

Every job is different, so we price from the inspection rather than guess over the phone. These are the things that move the figure.

FREE, No-Obligation Quotes. Your quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing, so you can make an informed decision about your property.

  1. Length of Board

The total run of fascia and soffit around the property sets the material and labour involved.

  2. Board Depth & Finish

Deeper boards and coloured or wood-effect finishes cost more than standard white.

  3. Ventilation Needs

Adding vented soffits or eaves vents adds to the materials used.

  4. Timber Repairs

Rafter ends that have rotted behind the old fascia need repairing before new boards are fixed.

FAQs

Fascia & Soffit FAQs

How Long Do uPVC Fascias & Soffits Last?

Good quality uPVC boards do not rot, warp or need painting, so they last far longer than painted timber. An occasional clean is all they need to keep looking smart.

Do I Need Vented Soffits?

If your loft shows signs of condensation, or the insulation has been laid right up to the eaves, ventilation helps air move through the roof space. We check this during the survey and only recommend vents where they will make a difference.

Can I Choose a Fascia Colour Other Than White?

Yes. Black, grey, anthracite and wood-effect boards are available, and the finish can be matched to your windows and doors.

Will My Gutters Need Replacing with New Fascias?

Not always. If your gutters are in good order they can be rehung on the new fascias. If they are cracked or leaking, our roofline service replaces the gutters alongside the boards.

Which Board Is the Fascia & Which Is the Soffit?

The fascia is the upright board fixed to the rafter ends, and it is what the gutter is attached to. The soffit is the horizontal board underneath, closing the gap back to the wall. Both are usually replaced together so they match.
