Complete uPVC Roofline Replacement

Your roofline is everything along the edge of the roof: fascias, soffits, bargeboards on the gable ends, the verge, and the gutters and downpipes that carry rainwater away. When one part fails the parts next to it usually follow, so renewing the edge as one matching system makes sense.

Modern uPVC does not rot or need repainting, so a new roofline stays smart with an occasional wipe down. Firm fascias give the gutters solid support, and dry verge caps secure the gable end tiles without mortar that cracks and washes out.

We offer a FREE drone roof inspection to help assess the condition of your roof and identify potential issues, along with a FREE, no-obligation quote. Steadfast renews rooflines on homes and commercial buildings across Maidstone, Kent and South East London.

When to Call Us

Signs You Need a New Roofline

  • Rotting Timber Boards

Peeling or soft painted boards are letting water in and will not hold their fixings for much longer.

  • Sagging Gutters

Overflowing or dripping gutters often point to a gutter that has lost its fall or a fascia that has moved.

  • Loose Gable Mortar

Cracked or missing verge mortar lets wind lift end tiles and rain into the gable, which dry verge stops.

  • Mismatched Repairs

A roofline patched in different materials is often cheaper to replace in one go than to keep repairing.

Pricing

Roofline Costs

Every job is different, so we price from the inspection rather than guess over the phone. These are the things that move the figure.

FREE, No-Obligation Quotes. Your quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing, so you can make an informed decision about your property.

  1. Length of the Roofline

The total run of fascia, soffit and gutter around the building is the biggest single factor.

  2. Height & Access

Three-storey elevations, conservatories and tight side passages affect the scaffolding needed.

  3. Condition of the Rafter Ends

Any rotten rafter feet found behind the old boards need repairing before the new fascia can be fixed.

  4. Gables & Verges

The number of gable ends sets how many bargeboards and dry verge runs are required.

How It Works

Our Roofline Process

  1. Surveying the Roof Edge

We check the condition of the boards, verges and gutters around the property, then set out the work in a FREE, no-obligation quote.

  2. Stripping Out the Old Line

Existing gutters come down first, then the old fascias, soffits and bargeboards are removed and the rafter ends checked for rot.

  3. Fitting the New Roofline

New uPVC boards go up with ventilation where it is needed, the bottom row of roof felt is supported, and dry verge is fitted to the gables.

  4. Rehanging Gutters & Tidying Up

Gutters and downpipes are fitted to a steady fall and connected to the drains, then all waste is taken away and the site left clean.

FAQs

Roofline FAQs

What Is the Difference Between Roofline Services & Fascia & Soffit Replacement?

Roofline work covers the whole roof edge: fascias, soffits, bargeboards, verges, gutters and downpipes, all renewed as one system. Fascia and soffit replacement focuses on the boards themselves and suits properties where the gutters and verges are still sound.

Can New uPVC Be Fitted Over My Old Wooden Fascias?

Capping over sound timber is sometimes possible, but it hides rot that may already be spreading. We prefer to remove the old boards so the rafter ends can be checked and repaired before the new roofline goes on.

What Is Dry Verge?

Dry verge is a system of interlocking caps that secures the end tiles on a gable without relying on mortar. It does not crack or wash out over time, so it needs very little attention once fitted.

Do I Need to Be at Home During Roofline Work?

Not for most of it, as the work is all outside. It helps if someone is around at the start so access to side gates and passages can be agreed.

Will a New Roofline Stop Birds Nesting in the Eaves?

Sealed uPVC fascias and soffits close off the gaps that birds and wasps use to get into the roof space. Where vents are fitted, they let air through while keeping larger pests out.
